Aye, that packaging sure is tricky...

the covers should be made in the manner of properly bound books which had a woven cloth bookmarker sewn into the binding of the signatures with the spine of the book. Have the woven cloth ribbon a little more than twice the diameter of a disc, that then folds in half as the disc is inserted into the sleeve. To remove the disc, simply pull gently on the protruding end of the ribbon, and out slides the disc, until you can safely grasp the disc's outer edges between your fingers -or grasp from disc edge to the centre hole.

Some CDs are packaged as 12" vinyl LPs once were, cardboard outer album cover with a paper dust jacket around the disc -Uriah Heep's "Very 'eavy, Very 'umble" CD comes to mind as a example.

"Mothership" ought to have been packaged more considerately!
